Gezel is an app for discovering events in Amsterdam and making plans with your friends. Browse upcoming concerts, club nights, and events at venues like Melkweg and Paradiso. When you find something you want to go to, create a Zellie — a hosted invite that wraps around the event.
Invite your friends, see who's going, and RSVP in one place. No more "are you going?" messages bouncing around different chats.
Download Gezel and create an account with a username and password. Your username is how friends will find and follow you. You can optionally add a display name and a profile picture.
Not everyone in your group needs the app. Share your Zellie as a link — friends can open it in any browser, see who's coming, and RSVP without creating an account. You can use Gezel even if you're the only one in your group who has it.
The easiest way to keep your plans in your calendar is to subscribe to your personal Gezel feed. Go to Profile → Settings → Sync to calendar and follow the steps. Once subscribed, every Zellie you join will appear in your calendar automatically — no manual adding needed.
You can also export individual Zellies directly to your calendar from the Zellie detail screen.
Search for friends by username using the search icon in the Friends tab. Send a friend request — once both of you follow each other, you'll see each other's plans in the Zellies feed.
